SP3 and SP4 included the pen, which cost $100 (I think) at launch. The table below is for Surface Pro i5, 8 GB memory, 256 GB storage, no keyboard, no LTE: Model Historical pricing is one possibility for why. I'm mostly relieved there don't seem to be any gotchas that weren't obvious up front.ĮDIT: formatting and battery comparisons. It's a little strange none of these pieces made it into the summary! She didn't enjoy the Pen's haptics much, though a different article goes into more depth. In both cases she mentions a “heavy workload with Chrome tabs” so I’m hoping it’s an apples-to-apples comparison. For reference, she got ~10 hrs on the Spectre x360 13.5 (FHD+ screen though) and 8:07 on the newest X1 Yoga. Performance is hand-wavy in the review, but she says the device is fast for her typical workload (lots of Chrome tabs) and never got too hot.īattery life in her testing got 8.5 hrs on 60Hz and ~7 on 120Hz (Dynamic Refresh Rate is not yet available). She says the keyboard feels stiffer, especially on the lapġ20Hz feels great for scrolling and inking Keyboard and stylus aren’t included in the price Stylus has a haptic motor and keyboard garage

No less expensive than waiting for the new Surface Pro 8, tbh, but in my mind I was avoiding the problem of having the battery located in the screen of an essentially unrepairable or not easily repairable product (which if I am really honest I kinda do still want, haha! The Lenovo really is first class though).Reviewer is pretty positive about the device and gave it an 8.5/10. Glad to hear yours is still trucking! I loved mine, but last month had the dreaded battery swlling issue with 4-500 repair quote, so I bought a new Lenovo 2-in1 (Thinkpad X1 Gen 6) thanks to the sale I spotted here on RFD. Dunno that I would be ready to drop $2200 on a newer model.

With that said, it really wasn’t as pricey as this deal. Over 5 years later, and I’m still happy with that purchase.

I’m obviously not gaming on that laptop, but with the work from home, it’s been a great machine to do Remote Desktop with my work computer.
